Riafy named Google Cloud DEI Partner of the Year (APAC)
The award was announced at Google Cloud Next in Las Vegas
Over a decade ago, me and five of my remarkable friends founded Riafy to create magic using technology. Our goal was simple yet ambitious — to make technology accessible to everyone, everywhere, no matter their economic status, the device they use, or the language they speak.
Our work on this goal has been validated at Google Cloud Next — one of the grandest technology events in the world. On behalf of our incredible team, I had the profound honor of accepting the Google Cloud Partner of the Year award in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion category for the Asia-Pacific region. Congratulations to the all award-winning partners.
This award is a testament to our commitment to using technology to uplift humanity. It validates our efforts to embed empathy and ethics in everything we do, ensuring that our technological advancements reach and resonate with diverse populations.
Breaking Down Barriers with AI
Our journey has been marked by several key endeavors that highlight our mission. Our AI systems have been key in managing adversities like the Kerala floods and the COVID-19 pandemic. We not only saved tens of thousands of lives, but ensured that medical care was made available regardless of their economic/social backgrounds. Creating responsible and unbiased AI systems is a core part of our DNA.
Our collaboration with Federal Bank has created a new era of financial inclusion in India. We created Feddy, an omnichannel AI-powered conversational assistant that has revolutionized how customers interact with the bank — for information and transactions.
We also partnered with IndiGo, India’s largest airline to develop a generative AI assistant that simplifies booking flights. Booking a ticket is now as simple as sending a voice note on WhatsApp, that too in your own language. The system aims to break down age and linguistic barriers enabling customers of all age groups to interact with AI in free-flowing natural conversation.
