Lune and Cookbook — taking over Google Play together

We launched Lune — our photo frames app in April this year. In a month and a half, it has risen to the hero-banner on Google Play. This is one of the awesomest moments for us at Riafy.

We would like to take this moment to thank everyone of our friends who’ve helped Lune take off. There’ve been so many of you who helped Lune get the early downloads, wrote us mouth-wateringly beautiful reviews and most importantly; made us believe that we could do it.

Everything we’ve learnt over the last 2 years from Cookbook, has gone into Lune. It is the evolutionary child who picked up the best from its predecessor.

Frame Your Moments — Father’s day collection of Lune app on Google Play

Lune is special because it required us to create an entirely new process. We knew we had to do this at scale, that too with great quality.

We re-imagined every step of the process we used for Cookbook. The name, the code, the store — everything had been re-worked to get Lune the best start possible.

Key to Lune’s meteoric rise on Google Play has been our focus on User Experience. It’s simple, elegant and has a freshness uncommon on Android. Lune app makes adding frames so effortless that we had a user say this —

Lune makes it so easy.. I almost forget that I used an app to make the photos

If you haven’t used Lune yet, please do take it for a spin. You can download #luneapp for Android from here.
